Comments:
A dense inflammatory infiltrate has replaced glandular epithelium which has been largely destroyed. Some cases of granulomatous prostatitis may closely mimic high-grade cancer. Small foci of cancer adjacent to foci of inflammation may sometimes be overlooked.
