Comments:
This is a type of fibromatosis seen usually at birth or soon afterwards and involves lower third of sternomastoid muscle. The image shows dense fibrous tissue separating atrophic muscle fibers. It is believed to be caused by injury at birth and is associated with forceps and breech deliveries.
