Comments:
Clear cell carcinomas of the ovary show a variety of architectural patterns and many different cell types admixed in various proportions. The most common patterns are tubulocystic, papillary and solid, often present adjacent to one another. Some areas are composed of cystically dilated glands lined by cuboidal or atrophic-appearing flattened epithelium which may not look malignant at first glance. The tubules and cysts commonly show intraluminal eosinophilic or basophilic secretions.
