Hashimoto thyroiditis may be complicated by malignant lymphoma and leukemia. Papillary thyroid carcinoma and Hürthle cell neoplasms can also occur. This low-power image shows a diffuse atypical lymphoid infiltrate (lymphoma) in the upper half and features of Hashimoto thyroiditis in the lower part.
