Comments:
This MRI scan of the brain is from a middle-aged man who presented with seizures. There is a left occipito-temporal mass which shows moderate, ill-defined areas of enhancement with contrast. The radiographic features are highly suggestive of intermediate to high-grade glial tumor. The patient underwent surgery. Histology showed typical features of an anaplastic astrocytoma, WHO Grade III. Case produced with permission, courtesy of Dr. Frank Gaillard. Radiopaedia. Complete case is here.
