They are small, well-circumscribed tumors which are often multiple and painful. They often appear as subcutaneous nodules in the trunk and extremities of young adults. Forearm is the most common location. The image shows a branching network of vessels separating mature fat cells. The vascular component is often more prominent in the subcapsular region.
