Comments:
This 6.5 cm gastrointestinal stromal tumor was removed from the stomach of a 68 y/o man who presented with gastric bleeding. The tumor is solitary, well-circumscribed and fleshy with foci of hemorrhage. The gastric mucosa overlying the tumor was ulcerated (seen on the left side in this photograph). The tumor had to be dissected off the liver. Image Courtesy of : Ed Uthman, MD, Houston, Texas.
