Echinococcus granulosus : Scoleces

Comments:
The germinal epithelium lining the cyst wall of Hydatid cyst produces protoscolex (pleural: protoscoleces). The protoscolex (juvenile head) gives rise to scolex (tapeworm head). This photograph shows a cluster of scoleces. The scolex has a row of hooklets which can be clearly seen in this photograph.
