Comments:
Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) of Spleen: Nodular aggregates of Langerhans cells are seen in the red pulp and they may be accompanied by eosinophils, neutrophils, small lymphocytes, plasma cells, and histiocytes. This case showed numerous hemosiderin-laden macrophages. The differential diagnosis includes hemophagocytic syndrome, liver disease, and extramedullary hematopoiesis. Splenectomy is usually not done for LCH of spleen.
