Comments:
This image illustrates the angiocentric and angiodestructive nature of the lesions in lymphomatoid granulomatosis. There is fibrinoid necrosis of the vessels walls as well as extensive necrosis of the surrounding lung parenchyma. The necrotic areas show nuclear debris but no neutrophils (unlike the necrotizing lesions of Wegener's granulomatosis).
