Microscopic Features: Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma (PMLBCL) has a diffuse growth pattern with areas of fibrosis/sclerosis. The neoplastic cells are medium to large-sized with a highly variable appearance, ranging from centroblastic, immunoblastic, anaplastic to Reed-Sternberg-like features. Some cases show prominent spindling of cells. There is abundant pale or clear cytoplasm and round, oval, irregular or multilobated nuclei.

The image shows broad sclerotic bands traversing sheets of tumor cells.
