Comments:
Prognosis: Primary cutaneous follicle-center lymphoma (PCFCL) is an indolent tumor with an excellent prognosis, even in patients with multifocal or recurrent disease. The only exception being the rare cases (5%) that present on the legs which tend to be aggressive and have worse prognosis, similar to primary cutaneous diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, leg type.

About 30% of patients show cutaneous relapse but respond well to re-treatment. Extracutaneous dissemination occurs in about 10% of cases, generally to regional lymph nodes and bone marrow. The 5-yr. disease-specific survival rate is >95%.

This skin biopsy from a patient with cutaneous follicle center lymphoma shows follicular and diffuse pattern of growth.
