Comments:
Microscopic Features: The histologic features of MALT lymphomas of the bladder are similar to those in other locations. Diffuse sheets of small-to-medium-sized, pale-staining marginal zone cells are seen beneath the surface urothelium. Lymphoepithelial lesions are uncommon but may be present (and quite nicely seen in this image). Associated follicular cystitis with non-neoplastic germinal centers colonized by neoplastic lymphocytes may be seen. Some cases show prominent plasmacytic differentiation.
