Comments:
This CT scan of spine is from a 71 y/o male who presented with a 2 day history of back pain radiating to his right hip. There was no history of trauma. There is extensive lucency (lytic lesion) in the L4 vertebral body causing collapse of the superior end plate. Given the patient's history of myeloma, this is likely to be a tumor deposit. Case courtesy of Dr Vineet Prakash, Radiopaedia.org. From the case rID: 31308
