Discoid Lupus Erythematosus

The lesions of discoid lupus erythematosus are most commonly present on the sun-exposed areas of the body such as the face, scalp, ears, and the 'V' of the neck region (as shown in this image). The established lesions are firm, raised, erythematous plaques that may be covered with scales.
