Comments:
Pemphigus vegetans is a localized form of pemphigus vulgaris which is usually confined to intertriginous areas, perioral region, neck, and scalp. There is a prominent granulomatous response to the tissue damage induced by auto-antibodies. The eroded areas do not heal but instead form papillomatous vegetating growths.
