The differential diagnosis of multilocular cystic renal neoplasm of low malignant potential includes: renal cell carcinoma with cystic degeneration, tubulocystic carcinoma of the kidney, cystic nephroma, clear cell papillary renal cell carcinoma with extensive cystic component, and benign multilocular cortical cysts.

About this image: Multiple cysts filled with eosinophilic proteinaceous secretions and hemorrhage are lined by a single layer of cells with clear cytoplasm. The nuclei are WHO/ISUP Grade 1.
