Oncocytoma : Degenerative Atypia

Focal atypia of degenerative type is quite common in oncocytomas. It consists of marked nuclear hyperchromasia and pleomorphism. However, there is no increase in mitotic activity and Ki-67 labeling index. Note the sharp demarcation between zones of degenerative atypia and usual morphology.
