Sarcomatoid Urothelial Carcinoma

Comments:
The sarcomatoid component is usually a high-grade sarcoma, NOS. In some cases, it may resemble malignant fibrous histiocytoma (as in this image). It must be kept in mind that primary sarcomas of bladder are extremely rare. A bladder tumor with sarcomatoid areas is more likely to be a sarcomatoid urothelial carcinoma.
