Comments:
Epithelioid leiomyosarcoma is composed of round or polygonal cells with eosinophilic to clear cytoplasm exhibiting nested, plexiform or corded growth patterns. Nuclear atypia may be only mild and necrosis may be absent. Mitotic rate is generally less than 3/10 HPF. Again, myometrial invasion sometimes remains as the only useful criteria to establish the diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma.
