Mixed Germ Cell-Sex Cord-Stromal Tumor

Comments:
Mixed germ cell-sex cord-stromal tumor, unclassified (MGCSCSTU): Immunohistochemically, the germ cells are positive for OCT4, PLAP, and CD117. The sex cord cells are positive for inhibin. The vast majority of these tumors are benign. About 10% of cases develop dysgerminoma or other invasive GCT, usually in postpubertal patients.

The image shows small clusters of dysgerminoma-like cells with abundant clear cytoplasm, surrounded by smaller, darker sex cord-stromal cells.
