Hyperreactio Luteinalis : Gross & Microscopic

Comments:
Gross Features: In hyperreactio luteinalis, there is bilateral enlargement of ovaries with multiple, thin-walled cysts filled with clear or hemorrhagic fluid. The ovaries may reach 20 cm or more in size.

Microscopic: There are multiple thin walled follicular cysts lined by luteinized theca interna and granulosa cells. The interfollicular stroma is edematous and may also contain luteinized stromal cells.
