Cardiac Myxoma : Microscopic Features

Comments:
Cytologically bland myxoma cells arranged singly and in anastomosing cords in a background of copious myxoid stroma. Such cases should be differentiated from primary or metastatic myxoid sarcomas. Sarcomas would show greater cellularity, pleomorphism in spindle cells, increased mitotic activity, and necrosis.
