Microscopic Features of Lipofibromatosis: Fat is an integral part of lipofibromatosis. Fascicles of bland fibroblastic cells infiltrate along interlobular septa of fat and skeletal muscles. Cytologic atypia and increased mitotic activity are not seen. Univacuolated lipoblast-like cells may be present at the interface between adipose tissue and fibroblastic fascicles (see next two images).
