Calcifying Aponeurotic Fibroma : Treatment

Comments:
Treatment: Calcifying aponeurotic fibroma is a benign lesion with an excellent prognosis. The mainstay of treatment is surgical excision. However, given its infiltrative nature, it has a recurrence rate of about 50%, especially in patients < 5 yrs. of age. Recurrences are also managed conservatively with re-excision.
