Elastofibroma : Gross Pathology

Comments:
Elastofibroma - Gross Pathology: The resected specimens show an ill-defined, rubbery to firm mass ranging in size from 2 to 15 cm. The cut surface has strands of gray-white fibrous tissue with entrapped layers of yellow adipose tissue. Cystic change may be present. The gross appearance can be concerning for a sarcoma, given the irregular, infiltrative pattern of the fibrous tissue.
