Gross Morphology: The appearance on cut surface depends upon the subtype of liposarcoma and ranges from mucoid (myxoid liposarcomas) to bright yellow (lipoma-like ALT/WDL) to firm, tan-white (sclerosing ALT/WDL) to fleshy, pink-tan (dedifferentiated; round cell LPS). Abbreviations: LPS = liposarcoma; ALT/WDL = atypical lipomatous tumor/well-differentiated liposarcoma.
