Lipoma Variants - Chondrolipoma: Lipomas may rarely show cartilaginous metaplasia and are referred to as chondrolipoma (not to be confused with chondroid lipomas discussed subsequently). Grossly, this appears as pearly white specks and nodules on the cut surface as seen in this image. Rare cases show osseous metaplasia (osteolipoma).
