Comments:
Chordomas usually have minimal cytologic atypia. Some cases show degenerate-type atypia consisting of multinucleated cells or large irregular nuclei with smudged chromatin. Mitotic activity is not increased. This feature has no clinical significance and does not impact the prognosis.
