Comments:
The histologic appearance of clear cell chondrosarcoma varies from region to region within the tumor. Hyaline cartilage producing areas may be adjacent to cellular foci with numerous mononuclear or giant cells. The bland cytologic features, abundant clear cytoplasm, the presence of mononuclear and giant cells mimic the features of a chondroblastoma.
