Comments:
The cell borders are somewhat distinct in this example of medullary carcinoma of the breast. The lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate is composed of peripheral T-cells (with numerous activated cytotoxic lymphocytes) and IgA-producing plasma cells. It is believed to be host response to the tumor.
