Malakoplakia of Testis

The tubular architecture is destroyed.The germ cells and Sertoli cells have been replaced with a dense infiltrate of macrophages containing granular eosinophilic cytoplasm. One of the characteristic features is the presence of Michelis-Gutman bodies which are round, targetoid, laminated structures. They can be highlighted with von Kossa, Prussian Blue, as well as PAS stains.
