Comments:
Efferent ductules consist of approximately 20-25 tubular structures that connect the rete testis to the proximal portion of the duct of the epididymis. They form bulk of the caput (head) of the epididymis proper. The lumen of efferent ductule has an undulating border and is lined by pseudostratified ciliated and non-ciliated columnar epithelial cells, basal cells, and a few lymphocytes. The main function of efferent ductules appears to be fluid resorption.
