Pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma is an aggressive malignancy; however, it has slightly better prognosis than pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The 5-yr survival rate is 22% for unresectable disease and 72% for those with resectable tumors. About 50% of patients present with metastases.
