Comments:
Hemangiomas of the liver are usually of cavernous type. They consist of variably-sized vascular channels lined by flattened endothelial cells. The vascular channels are separated by fibrous stroma. Organizing thrombi are frequently present and as they undergo sclerosis, the entire lesion may be replaced by a fibrous nodule.
