Carcinoid Tumor : Adenocarcinoid type

Comments:
A small percentage of carcinoid tumors of the appendix show predominantly glandular pattern. They have been referred to as tubular adenocarcinoids. They are less often immunoreactive for chromogranin as compared to classic (insular) carcinoids but may be positive for mucin. They should not be mistaken for adenocarcinoma.
