Gastric Adenocarcinoma, Diffuse Type (Linitis Plastica; Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma)

Comments:
The tumor consisted of discohesive cells infiltrating through all the layers of the stomach wall. It was accompanied by extensive fibrosis and inflammation. Many tumor cells have large intracytoplasmic vacuoles that push the nucleus to the periphery creating a signet ring appearance.
