Comments:
The image shows glands of central zone at the base of the prostate which can mimic high-grade PIN architecturally. There is nuclear crowding and pseudostratification with tufted, papillary and even cribriform areas within the glands. Central zone glands may sometimes be seen at the end of a prostate biopsy core admixed with smooth muscle of bladder neck. They lack nuclear enlargement and hyperchromasia and don't have prominent nucleoli.
