Comments:
The tumor is composed of syncytiotrophoblastic giant cells in association with cytotrophoblast in a hemorrhagic background. Besides choriocarcinoma, other unusual malignancies complicating Barrett esophagus include squamous cell carcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, neuroendocrine carcinoma, and sarcomatoid carcinoma.
