Urothelial Carcinoma-In-Situ

Comments:
This is a transurethral resection specimen of urinary bladder suspected of harboring carcinoma-in-situ. The urothelial lining was completely denuded in most of the fragments. Rare fragments were partially or fully covered with 2-3 layers of large, highly pleomorphic cells diagnostic of CIS. See higher magnification in the next image.
