Comments:
Both involved lymph nodes and sometimes uninvolved tissues/organs in Hodgkin lymphoma may show non-caseating granulomas. They are composed of aggregates of epithelioid histiocytes. They can become quite prominent and mask the underlying Hodgkin lymphoma.

Their pathogenesis and clinical significance is unknown. They are not taken into account for staging purposes. Some have suggested that their presence imparts a better prognosis.
