Comments:
The number of T lymphocytes in nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma is variable (scant to abundant). It increases as the lesions get older. T-cells can be especially numerous in recurrent/relapsed cases.

The T-cells have the following immunophenotype: CD2+, CD3+, CD4+, PD1+, and CD57+. The T-cells surround LP cells forming rosettes or collarettes (as shown in the center of this CD3 immunostain). The background T-cells may occasionally show considerable atypia and mimic peripheral T-cell lymphoma.
