Papillary Carcinoma of Breast : Solid variant

Topic: Papillary Carcinoma

Category: Breast Carcinomas

slide 9 of 13

Comments:
In the solid variant of papillary carcinoma, the cyst formation is minimal or absent. The tumor is composed almost entirely of solid, non-frond forming epithelium. Small cords of fibrovascular stroma make it possible to recognize it as papillary carcinoma.   return to Papillary Carcinoma
