Comments:
The vast majority of lymphomas of the cervix are diffuse large B-cell (DLBCL) type. The morphologic, immunophenotypic, and genetic features are similar to DLBCLs seen in nodal and extranodal locations. Some cases show sclerosis of the stroma or prominent spindling of the tumor cells creating diagnostic confusion. The image shows a diffuse infiltrate of large atypical lymphoid cells beneath an intact endocervical lining.

Most cervical DLBCLs are localized at presentation (Stage I) and have good prognosis with chemotherapy and radiation. Some young patients have been able to retain fertility after successful treatment. The 5-yr survival rate is almost 80%.
