Comments:
Neoplastic follicles in some cases of follicular lymphomas may show prominent mantle zones. The interfollicular region usually contains high endothelial venules and neoplastic centrocytes (as evidenced by the similarity in appearance between neoplastic follicles and interfollicular region). This image shows prominent interfollicular involvement causing wide spacing of follicles. The interfollicular involvement does not equate to diffuse area - which is defined as area with complete lack of follicles.
