Comments:
Plain x-ray showing tumoral calcinosis in a young female who presented with bilateral pain and swelling around elbow joints. There is extensive nodular soft tissue calcification posterior to the right elbow joint around the insertion of triceps (see next image for calcium deposits around left elbow joint). The calcified nodules are separated by radiolucent lines resulting from the fibrous septa coursing through the lesion. The nodules may show fluid levels. Ultrasound confirmed that the lesion was extra-articular. Case courtesy of Dr Jeremy Jones, Radiopaedia.org. From the case rID: 20008
