Medullary Carcinoma of Breast

Topic: Medullary Carcinoma

Category: Breast Carcinomas

slide 6 of 7

Comments:
The bulk of the tumor in this case of medullary carcinoma of the breast was composed of lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate with scattered small clusters of tumor cells with highly atypical nuclei. The prognosis of medullary carcinoma of the breast is much better than that for usual ductal carcinoma even in the presence of nodal metastases. The 10-year survival rate is about 84%.   return to Medullary Carcinoma
