Comments:
Apocrine cystadenomas are benign cystic apocrine lesions. Historically, there has been much confusion regarding the terms apocrine cystadenoma and apocrine hidrocystoma. While some authors have use the terms interchangeably, others have used "hidrocystoma" to refer to purely cystic lesions and "cystadenoma" to refer to lesions with cystic and solid (papillary) components. However, according to recent studies apocrine cystadenomas are a distinct proliferative tumor.
