Comments:
Rare cases of invasive urothelial carcinoma show unusual stromal response consisting of plump spindle cells. The stromal cells have abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and may show multinucleated cells with degenerative atypia. These cases should not be mistaken for sarcomatoid carcinoma.
