Comments:
This hemangioma of the skull is predominantly of capillary type. The capillary-caliber vascular spaces are lined by plump endothelial cells. The treatment of hemangiomas is conservative surgical resection. Radiation is reserved for inaccessible lesions. For massive lesions with soft tissue involvement, amputation may become necessary.
